Who Is Eligible for a Super Visa?

• Must be a parent or grandparent of a Canadian citizen or permanent resident
• Must receive an invitation letter from the child or grandchild in Canada
• Must apply for the Super Visa from outside Canada
• Must be admissible to Canada
Required Invitation Letter Must Include
• Written promise of financial support for the entire stay
• List and number of people in the household
• Copy of Canadian citizenship or PR document of the host

Medical Insurance Requirements

• Medical insurance from a Canadian insurance company
• Valid for at least 1 year from date of entry
• Minimum coverage of $100,000
• Proof of full payment for insurance

Financial Support (Proof of Funds)

• Host must meet minimum necessary income (LICO)
• Notice of Assessment (NOA) or T4/T1 (latest tax year)
• Bank statements
• Pay stubs
• Employment letter showing salary and start date

Additional Conditions

• Immigration medical examination required
• No dependents can be included in the application
• Must satisfy visa officer of temporary intent
