PNP – Alberta (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program)

Updated as per IRCC & Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP)
Prepared by HCFL Immigration – Calgary, Alberta
The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP), formerly known as the Alberta Immigrant Nominee
Program (AINP), is Alberta’s Provincial Nominee Program designed to attract skilled workers, entrepreneurs,
and graduates who can support Alberta’s economic growth and labour market needs.
Individuals nominated by Alberta may apply for Permanent Residence for themselves and their eligible
family members. Final approval of Permanent Residence applications is made by Immigration, Refugees
and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
Important Update: Under current federal immigration regulations, a dependent child is defined as being
under 22 years of age and not married or in a common-law relationship. This definition applies to all
AAIP-linked Permanent Residence applications.
